On June 24th, New Yorkers have a chance to make history. Zohran Mamdani is running one of the most exciting campaigns this city has seen in decades. Polling at just 1% before his launch, he is now only 8 points behind a political dynasty—Andrew Cuomo.
Zohran’s campaign hasn’t just outperformed expectations; it has outclassed the competition. The message is simple and urgent: A more Affordable New York. That means freezing rent hikes, providing free bus service and childcare, building affordable housing, and cooperative grocery stores with forever-affordable prices. And yes—he has a clear plan to pay for all of it.
But this campaign isn’t just about the message. It’s about the how. How powerfully, strategically, and sincerely that message is being communicated—again and again. Zohran and his communications team have been exceptional. They’ve dominated social media—especially Instagram and TikTok, where most of their voters are—creating organic feedback loops through community rallies, events, visuals, and narratives that reinforce the core message. The other candidates, talented as they may be, have struggled to keep up. In this race, Zohran is winning the hearts and minds of New Yorkers.
He’s pulling all the right political levers as well, earning the endorsement of the New York Working Families Party, Jewish Voices for Peace, the College Dems of New York, Gustavo Rivera, Nydia Velázquez, Antonio Reynoso, and many, many more. But winning a historic election requires more than a great campaign; it requires an exceptional candidate. And Zohran is that.
He’s smart, sincere, an organizer, and a fighter. He radiates vision and hope. He learns fast, moves with urgency, and speaks with grace—even under pressure. When he speaks, people are drawn in. They listen, especially on the hardest of issues. That is why he continues to surge. With 21 days until Election Day and early voting beginning in just 11 days, he is in a prime position to win this election.
America’s eyes should be on New York City. If (when) Zohran and his team pull this off, it won’t just shake up City Hall—it will potentially save American democracy for a generation. The Democratic Party is old, tired, and losing relevance. While figures like Pete Buttigieg and Gavin Newsom excite some, they don’t speak to the soul of working-class, justice-minded Americans.
Zohran Mamdani does.
He’s 33, Muslim, and a democratic socialist. Each of those would be a first for a NYC mayor. But more than that, he’s exactly what this city—and this country—needs: joy, excitement, true democratic principles, and hope. The Democratic Party must stop aligning with oligarch interests and fighting against members of its party like Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Zohran Mamdani—and start embracing them. Fully and boldly. It is the only way for the party to save itself from itself.
On June 24th, we’ll see if New Yorkers are ready to rescue democracy—or keep pretending we have one while handing the keys to corporate-backed politicians like Andrew Cuomo. I believe in New Yorkers to do the right thing. They will get it done.
